Winter in MELBOURNE 2016- Day 8

Day 8

Today we woke up at 8.15am. I heat up the red bean bun and pancake from yesterday for breakfast! The kids have not ate chinese style breakfast so many days so they enjoyed it very much.

By 10.30am, we left the hotel and took the free city tram to Victoria Market. It is a mere one tram stop away and we could walk if we wanted to but the weather is very cold so we rather catch the tram. Parking at the market is $8 for first two hours so tram is a better choice since we did not plan to buy too many things from the market...

We spend about an hour at the market, they sell basically everything under the sun. From cheese, sausages to fresh seafood, meat (pork, beef, chicken) to souvenirs and fruits.

We bought some fresh salmon, a huge squid and some strawberries.

There is two parts to the market (indoor and outdoor), fruits are cheaper at the outdoor area..

Cutie pick up a coin and make his day!
Initial plan is to dine at Meat and Co but it is not open. So we went to Donovans instead. We park at a open carpark opposite the restaurant at $5 per hour.

The restaurant had a nice ambience and faces the beach. We did not manage to get a window seat as we did not make any reservations. Staff is polite and explain the special of the day and soup of the day.

I had seafood spaghetti and hubby had fish. Seafood is very fresh and juicy. Hubby was a little disappointed with his fish. The kids meal is also a let down...kids didnt even like it. Price is on the steep side so we are quite disappointed with the quality of food.

My seafood spaghetti which is nice...
After lunch, we left for hubby's office. He is not on official working trip but pop by to check on his colleagues. So we waited in the car for hubby and catch some rest as well.

Around 4pm, we went to Waverly Garden Mall to shop. This is the mall we stopped by on our first day and I quite like the shops here. They have Target, Big W, Aldi. Bought quite a bit of clothes and food.

Around 6pm, we went back to city centre. Hubby shower the kids while I go and takeaway some Shanghai Street dumpling, mini juicy bun and fried noodle for dinner.
