Day Trip in Singapore (Singapore River, Fullerton Hotel, Merlion Park, Esplanade)

It is the first day of September School Holiday for 2016. This year we had an extra 2 days of school holiday. Started early on Friday (Teacher's Day) and ended on Monday (Hari Raya Haji).

Recently, over the National Day period, teacher has been teaching the kids on the significant places in Singapore. They had songs which introduce the kids to Esplanade, Clarke Quay, Singapore River etc. So, I decided to bring the kids to riverside (along Fullerton Hotel), walking towards Merlion Park, and then crossing the bridge to Esplanade with the view of Marina Bay Sands.

How to go:

We took the MRT to Raffles Place MRT station...

From Raffles Place MRT, take exit H towards Fullerton Hotel...

We went to Fullerton Hotel for a tour and a toilet trip.

F1 car racing...
Saw a ferrari parked outside the hotel...
We walked around the bridge... with the view of Singapore river... and the boy started singing the song he was taught in school (the lyric have the Singapore Riverside, esplanade)

Wefie with the kids!
So cool looking boy...
Stylo girl...
We then walked over to the Merlion Park...

The mini one.. which the kids quite like...
And the actual one.. which they are not so interested in....I wonder why...
From there, we walk across the bridge to Esplanade...

Nice view of MBS!
Kids are a little hungry and tired so we sit around the Esplanade area and have some biscuit and water.

Catch a couple of Pokemon (lots of Magikarp, Psyduck and Slowpoke) along the Esplanade area while resting our legs... then we walked over to Marina Square, and to Ritz Carlton Hotel for our lunch buffet.

We arrived a little early and buffet has not started. We walk around the hotel for a bit. Then when it is 12pm,we went in for the FOOD!

Happy... finally can rest, sit down and eat.
And this is their favourite bread stick... keep refilling. I can't keep track of how many they eat...
Dessert time.. he loves the ice cream, had two servings!
And girl girl goes for all the pretty desserts...
After they are more or less full, I requested some colouring paper for the kids, so that they can keep themselves entertained for a bit!

Buffet is good, wide selection and for those with kids, it is quite worth it. Kids below 6 years old eat for free (which is quite good, as most buffet have the age limit of 4-5 years old)

After the food, no one wants to go home. So we went shopping at Marina Square. Kids went crazy at the indoor playground...

And mummy is officially tired, we walked over to One Raffles Link and took a cab home! We had a great time!
