Tian Xia Ju Motel Review (Yilan, Taiwan)

We stayed in Tian Xia Ju Motel in Yilan for 3 nights during our trip in September 2015. It was pretty last minute when we booked and we are left with few choices. Review on TripAdvisor is good and we read about lots of free upgrade to huge room so we decided to book for the basic room.

Even the basic room is huge in size compared to usual hotel. We were allocated one of the smaller room and it is already 86m2. For us who stayed in Spore, this is probably almost the size of our whole flat.

So, yes we did not get upgraded :( but we are very satisfied already as this particular room has this huge sofa that is big enough for both kiddos to sleep. We requested for extra blanket for the kids.

Let's take a look at the room. We stayed in Room 202. The room looks pretty much as advertised on their official website (http://www.tianxiaju.com.tw/rooms-r1-2.html)

Note: The website is in chinese but for those who can't read, you can just view the photos. Picture of each room is shown. Every room has a different design.

This is just nice for me!
Rotating TV in between bed and sofa

Study table
Lamp. There is different setting at a panel at the bed (romantic etc)
Coffee, tea facilities. Even have complimentary instant noodle replenished daily

Sink at toilet
Toiletries (Toothbrush, Comb, Cotton Bud, Lotion, Soap, Face Cleanser etc)
Shower area

Private jacuzzi with TV. Really comfortable.

Note: Official check in time is 6pm and it wasn't an issue for us. If you do need to check in early do check with motel in advance.

Breakfast

Breakfast is complimentary and you can choose Set Meal A (Main Course, Pastry and Drinks) or Set B (Special main course and Drinks). It can be arranged to send into the room (in a cupboard at the entrance) at 7am or 8.30am. Once the item is send, the light will be switched on and we can go collect them.

Wifi

Wifi is complimentary and password is available in the room.

Parking

You get personal parking space for each room and it is covered parking. It is pretty cool and now I know why the local calls it "Car Motel". After check in, you basically drive into your own personal garage. And you can access to your room via the garage. There is an area downstairs for the shoes and where the staff places your breakfast. Once you go up the stairs, you can find your room :)

Reception

Reception is 24 hours and guest has to pass their room key to the reception when going out. Each time we come back, reception will pass the key back to us and open the garage door for us to park the car and access the room. We will not be able to open the garage door on our own.

Around the area

There are a few convenience store (open 24 hours) and supermarket around the area to get snacks etc. Other places have to drive.

Motel can be booked via other reputable website as well e.g.: Agoda, Booking.com etc

Note: This is not a sponsored post. Mainly sharing our personal experience staying in the motel.
