Hong Kong Macao Travelogue March 2016 -Day 5 (FINAL)

Today is our last day in Hong Kong and our flight is at 2 plus in the afternoon. So, we had some time in the morning to check out dim sum in Hong Kong.

Dim sum @ Garden Restaurant is generally good and price is reasonable too. 

We checked out of the hotel, and took bus A21 back to airport (Cost HKD$33) and it brings us straight to Terminal 2.

From there, we got our Octopus Card refunded. We also manage to get some last minute goodies from Kee Wah Bakery. After checking in, we had to take a train to Terminal 1 where all the boarding gates are located. 

For lunch, dad finally got to taste goose meat that he had been wanting to eat before leaving HK. We had lunch at Tsui Wah Restaurant and the food is yummy, portion is large too. I especially love the warm lime orange juice, it is soooo good!

Kidzoona indoor playground at Jusco Bukit Indah, Johor, Malaysia.

We recently brought the kids to Kizoona at Jusco Bukit Indah. I find it very worth it in terms of the price and the facilities are also pretty good.  The place is not big but there is enough things for the kids to spend a few hours there... Includes bouncing castle, some individual shops (flower shop, cafe, supermarket for kids to play around), a big pool of ball, some cars, and a huge rolling ball-like thing where kids can go in and rotate. Fully air conditioned and there is only one entrance to go in and out. Parents can stay inside to accompany your kids at no additional charge. Just remember to bring your own socks otherwise have to purchase before going in. Toilet is not in the playground so there only cons is have to bring the kids out to toilet. Great for family/ friends bonding- KUKUP 2 day 1 night TRIP

Situated in Pontian District, Johor, Malaysia- KUKUP Fishing Village is a wonderful place for family/friends bonding.  The chalets are build on the sea and there is not much attractions around the area so basically most activities are done in or around the chalet which is great for bonding. There is no place to park the car in front of the chalet as all of the chalets are build on water, so do park your car (if you are driving) at the designated car park before the jetty. We parked at JJ Carpark (RM7 for 24 hours) and the staff send us to the jetty area using his van. We can then walk or take a boat to the chalet.  We decided to walk....and we manage to enjoyed a cooling and refreshing coconut pudding on the way... Winter in MELBOURNE 2016- Day 11-FINAL DAY

Day 11 (FINAL DAY) Time flies, today marks the last day of our 11 day 10 nights Melbourne Trip.  When we woke up in the morning, the dryer spoil :( We are pretty panicked as we have washed one whole load of clothes and wanted to dry them before we do our final packing. We called the reception and after checking the dryer, they confirmed that it is spoilt. Housekeeping then helped us to dry our clothes using the hotel dryer and send us back the dry clothes in about 30 minutes. Kudos to the team! We had a simple breakfast at hotel (juice, biscuit etc) to clear up the remaining food that we opened during the trip. For brunch, we had to visit Manchester Press again. Montigo Resort Review, Batam, Indonesia

Back in April, mummy got a 2 days 1 night well deserved break in Montigo Resort with her secondary school mates. It was a great "weekend" and away from the hustle and bustle of the city and my kiddies... Situated near NongsaPura Ferry Terminal in Batam, this is one of the two ferry routes from Singapore. Route A takes you from HarbourFront Ferry Terminal to Sekupang Batam which is nearer to the "Batam city centre". If you would like to visit their shopping mall and go out walk walk, staying near hotel in Sekupang would be more ideal. Route B takes you from Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal to NongsaPura which has nicer view resort and guests usually likes to stay in just to enjoy the facilities and have bonding time with friends and family. Staycation @ Crowne Plaza Changi Airport, Singapore

How often does one step foot in Changi Airport and not catching a flight or picking someone up? For those who are staying in the east of Singapore, some might just go to the airport and enjoy their facilities, had some food, play at the playground or even do some groceries shopping. I think I am a little outdated as I did not even know that Changi Airport has NTUC as well (and their prices are not more expensive that the rest of NTUC). However, for someone like me who stay in the West, I hardly step foot at Changi Airport unless I am flying off someone or picking up someone. For me to take a MRT or drive to Changi Airport is a big commitment as it is not exactly near and there are so many nearby playground and shopping mall that I can enjoy within minutes from my house.  I hardly walk around the airport properly as I am usually rushing to catch a flight. A day trip to Fujairah, away from the hustle and bustle of Dubai.

Half term break- a phrase uncommon to schools in Asia. We have always known all breaks as school holiday. Here in international school , there is spring break, winter break , summer break and in between there is also some short half term break. This is the kids first school holiday after starting school in April 2018 so after a busy one and a half month, kiddy have 4 days to rest. We spend the first two days hanging around the house, went to indoor playground and accompany daddy to collect his new car! With our new ride, we decided one morning to go for a day trip to a nearby emirate. Fujairah is one of the seven emirates that makes up United Arab Emirates (UAE). It lies on the East Coast of UAE along the Gulf of Oman, well known for its beaches and Hajar Mountains. Its landscape is very much different from Dubai. Winter in Perth 2014 (Day 1 and 2)

First travel blog post on our 2 weeks trip to Perth, Australia in June/July 2014. This is our first solo family trip abroad (2 adults to 2 kids). Travel tips to Perth in Winter

My first travel post will be sharing our family winter trip in Perth.  HOW LONG TO GO: Our trip is 2 weeks long as part of it is hubby's business trip, a trip of 5-7 days will be sufficient. For those planning for a trip this June School Holiday , Perth is actually quite a nice place to go. In contrary to normal believe that weather is bad in Australia in winter, we actually find it quite cooling and not too windy or rainy as long as you avoid Busselton and Margaret River area. Focus your trip to Perth up to Rockingham and anywhere to the north of Perth will have cooling and sunny weather most of the time. Check out the Perth weather forecast   here. It ranges between 8 to 18 degree Celsius throughout and it is quite cooling and nice! Westgate Hotel Review (Ximending, Taipei, Taiwan)

We stayed in Westgate Hotel during our trip to Taipei in September 2015. Hotel is generally clean and comfortable. We opted for executive room but our only complain is there is only a really small window with no view at all. Hubby blamed the "lack of sunlight from window" causes us to wake up late everyday but I think we are just generally pretty good in sleeping. Room Room is a good size for Ximending standard. There is a queen size bed, shower, toilet, TV, and a separate living area on a platform. In room safe is provided for safekeeping of expensive items. Bed-queen size. Separate living area.. pretty cosy TV Sink Toilet with multiple cool function-heated seat etc Shower head has good water pressure but the space is quite small. I can't hang my clothes in the shower room as the water will splashes on my clothes. This is how small the shower room is... Family Trip 2017 @ Cameron Highland, Malaysia (Day 4)

Today we also had light breakfast in hotel (bread, strawberries etc) and got ready by 10am... The flowers hubby bought from morning market yesterday bloom... Close up of the pretty flowers Girl with her first bunch of flowers Our first destination is the NEW BOH TEA PLANTATION.... but alas, GPS brought us to the wrong plantation. We spend like 45 mins driving which includes some narrow and winding road, but wrong place. Do be careful as the google map shows picture of the new plantation but send you to the old one... and we met some other tourist who also came to the wrong place based on google map. Nevertheless, we decided to just had our tea, shortbread and cakes here anyway...We had carrot cake, green tea tiramisu and strawberry cheesecake.
