A plan on the go trip to San Francisco and Las Vegas (Day 2)
Good morning San Francisco.. view from our hotel |
We had quick breakfast in our room (muffins, instant noodle and coffee). We then showered and took the hotel complimentary shuttle van to Terminal 3 domestic departure, heading to Las Vegas!!!
We booked our flight via United Airline and because it is Star Alliances with Singapore Airline, we get complimentary one luggage per person and lounge access for Singapore Airline Gold Member.
And we arrived at Las Vegas!!!
Mural at the airport... |
TIPS: We feel that Lyft is better than Uber due to the fact that it was less popular. So, when we booked a share ride, we paid less but we ended up not sharing with anyone as there are not much people using it.
Along The Strip, there are people who is giving away promo code for LYFT Las Vegas (LV323 is the code we get, not sure if it still works now) and you get $2 off each ride up to 10 rides and it is really worth it. We took LYFT for the rest of our Vegas trip.
The sights are amazing and I can't believed we are actually in Vegas... so many things to do and see...
Taking in the sights.... |
Love the blue skies but the weather is really way too hot, can go up to 41 degree Celcius in the daytime. |
They offered us a smaller room at the same price and obviously we aren't too happy about it ...
It was this McGregor vs Mayweather fight weekend (we only know when we touched down at the airport) and lots of hotel is fully booked and I can't believe this is happening now!!!
We finally found one hotel at the boulevard and decided to check into Hilton instead....It was slightly off The Strip with reasonable price. I am happy with the room and they even have complimentary laundry service. They also provide mineral water for guest from their supermarket.
HILTON GRAND VACATIONS ON THE BOULEVARD:
Although the hotel does not provide complimentary shuttle to The Strip, we are happy to just go around with LYFT or UBER.
Finally .... we got into a room that we just booked online. Internet really helps in this modern days... |
Limo can be seen everywhere in Las Vegas |
Mirage... |
Cong is so tired he doze off while waiting for food |
We ordered pancake, burger and hash brown(that actually looks like Rosti). |

A must do in Vegas.... |
After lunch, we explored the hotel along The Strip. There is so much to see. From the garden and fountain at The Bellagio Hotel, flamingo, duck and pelican at The Flamingo Hotel, mini Statue of Liberty, mini Empire State Building, mini Arc De Triumph, mini Fountain of Trevi and many more...
And we saw the world largest chocolate fountain |
Sky train view.. |
Still tired even though we slept for a bit, we decided to load up on some caffeine at Starbucks... the weather was so hot so we decided to be more adventurous and go beyond our usual Mocha or Cappuccino... I had flavoured iced tea while Cong had coconut milk mocha.... it is actually pretty good. Something different for our first trip to Vegas...
Hotel... |
For dinner, we settled for McD nuggets ($5 for 20 pieces).
After dinner, we did some research online to book our Grand Canyon trip for the day after tomorrow and we also booked one of the Cirque du Soleil shows for tomorrow night... yes, this is indeed our plan on the go trip... and we love how spontaneous it is :)
